To help best serve you and all of our patients, please follow this precaution:

  • If a patient needs a caregiver present for their in-person visit, please limit it to one person. In some cases, we may ask the caregiver to wait outside or in their car during the appointment.
  • Do not go to the emergency department unless you are experiencing symptoms that are severe or life-threatening. Most people who are experiencing coronavirus symptoms do not need to go to the emergency department.

All individuals age 2 and older entering our health centers will be asked to wear a face covering.  Learn more about options for face coverings here.

APPOINTMENT CHANGES

Many appointments can scheduled as telehealth appointments. You may get a text message saying your appointment is changed from in-person to a telehealth visit. If you receive this text message, you do not need to call Westside. Prior to your appointment, you will receive a text with a link or a phone call from your provider to start your appointment.

We know that not all health issues are appropriate for telehealth. If you or a family member must be seen in person, we will help you schedule your appointment appropriately.

Our call volume has increased and hold times are longer than usual. You can use the Patient Portal for questions about lab results, medical records, or prescription refills. If you do not have a Portal account and would like one, please email portal.support@westsidehealth.org.

For your safety, please avoid coming to the health centers without an appointment. You can use the Patient Portal for questions about lab results, medical records, or prescription refills.

COVID TESTING AND VACCINES

COVID testing is for patients with symptoms only and by appointment only. Due to the demand, testing results are taking 3 to 5 days. If you do get tested, please stay home until you get your test results. You may receive your results via text or through a patient portal message. We are doing our best to get results to you in a timely manner.

Everyone aged 6 months and older should get vaccinated, and get boosters when appropriate. Combined with masking and hand washing, vaccination is the best protection against severe complications from COVID-19.  Visit www.westsidehealth.org/covidvaccines for current walk-in vaccine clinic hours.

COVID-19 Vaccine and Mask Exemptions

Westside will provide a medical exemption letter for COVID-19 vaccines for the reasons listed by the CDC. These reasons include allergies to the vaccine or to parts of the vaccine.

Westside cannot provide letters regarding religious exemptions for COVID-19 vaccines. Talk to your religious leader for this request.

Westside will not provide mask exemption letters for schools or workplaces. Talk with your provider if you have concerns about masking.
