Screening for Life
Westside Health is teamed up with Delaware's Division of Public Health (DPH)
Screening for Life program to help individuals understand breast and
cervical cancer and prevent both through early detection.
Today much can be done to prevent breast and
cervical cancer from developing or progressing to an untreatable state. Self
breast exams, clinical breast exams, mammograms, and pap smears are all
important parts of this prevention. Screening for Life helps women to live
longer, healthier lives by helping them obtain these examinations.
Through Screening for Life, individuals can
get funding for FREE mammograms and pap tests. Early detection of
abnormal cells through these tests can save lives. Women who qualify for
the Screening for Life program can get their free pap tests and clinical
breast exams at Westside Health. Our physicians and nurse practitioners also
assist women in choosing the best site to obtain a free mammogram.
