National Women's Health Week and Westside's Every Woman Healthfair
National Women's Health Week is coordinated by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' Office of Women's Health to promote the general well-being and health of women across our nation. Women's health is a top priority for DHHS and for Westside.
Westside National Women's Health Week Events
Westside Family Healthcare will be participating in National Women's Health Week by offering free educational sessions at each of our locations throughout the week, culminating in a Community Day and Health Fair near Westside's Northeast location. The event will include free health tests and information, food, music, and fun!

It's Your Time
National Women's Health Week is a time for communities, businesses, organizations and other groups and individuals to come together to promote the well-being of women and girls in our country. By working together, we can become more educated about important steps that women can take to improve risks for certain diseases, mental health, and physical health, including:
Getting at least 2 hours and 30 minutes of moderate physical activity, 1 hour and 15 minutes of vigorous physical activity, or a combination of both each weekEating a nutritious dietVisiting a health care professional to receive regular checkups and preventive screeningsAvoiding risky behaviors, such as smoking and not wearing a seatbeltPaying attention to mental health, including getting enough sleep and managing stressSupport your mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, girlfriends and other important women in your life to improve their health and prevent disease by getting a check-up and making minor improvements to their lifestyle.
